Sergio Oliva, Jr.

Sergio Oliva, Jr. was 20 years old when he started training in 2004 while running track and playing water polo in high school. What may surprise some people is that his father, Sergio Senior, was initially opposed to him competing in bodybuilding. In fact, his father was opposed to him lifting weights and working in out general. He felt that Sergio should focus on other things instead. Sergio was determined to compete despite his father's wishes. When first started lifting, Sergio weighed 140 pounds. Three months later, he had put on 30 pounds of muscle. The following year began his competitive path. Sergio Oliva, Jr. earned his IFBB Pro Card in 2015 at NPC Nationals, placing 1st and winning the overall in the Superheavy class.  Sergio Oliva is fresh off his debut Pro Show, winning the NY Pro on May 20, 2017!
